Opening up the character_macros.xml file I can see her head can be chosen from 6 different types: īut unfortunately, which of these heads is picked for her is based on her npcseed in the save file, which determinds her entire appearance. This macro determinds what assets that model can use. For example, if I edit my save file and search for my PHQ Manager's name, I can see she's this type: macro='character_argon_female_trader_02_macro' That's all well and good for random station NPCs, but I'd prefer my own pilots and managers to actually look decent, so was wondering if anyone found a way to change how they look, either by mod or even editing save files.ĮDIT: So from what I can gather from editing save files and the mod /u/WPLibrar2 linked in the comments, each race has multiple 'macro' types. Half of the NPCs in my game have black faces and white arms, or vice-versa, or are wearing a suit and Daft Punk helmets. Just wondering if anyone knows how to mod NPC's appearances.
